There was only 1 tire spinning in the back and only 1 tire spinning in the front. Trust me I saw it with my own eyes. I'd get some boards under 1 tire on the back thinking that will pull it out, but then it wouldn't spin and the one still stuck would spin. I had to get all 4 wheels up on boards before it would go anywhere. It took me 2 days of busting my *** to get that thing out and it wasn't even very muddy. Like I said, with an e-locker it wouldn't of batted an eye getting out of that.

In all those situations my LS in every ford i have ever had as spun both tires the same. With one on pure ice and one on dry pavement when HAMMERING the throttle they both still spin, but not at the same speed like they do in every other situation, dry one is slower but you still move forward. The only place I have ever seen a LS not act like a full locker is when one tire is on ice and one is on pavement or one is in the air. when both are on the same or even similar surfaces they both always spin.
I was slightly flexed on a grade but both tires were firmly on the loose dirt but I could only get one to spin. A locker in my situation I would have been out 10 secs compared to my 20 minutes. And I doubt my clutches are worn out. I owned truck since new and it only had 45k when I got stuck like that. I have never abused the dif by doing burnouts or anything like that.

a locker would of done nothing for you.

thats what you get for driving an 8500lb vehicle with what appears to be weak assss AT tires.

The Chev got stuck and the Ford got stuck got the Chev unstuck when the Dodge showed up but the Dodge got stuck in the tractor rut which eventually pulled out the Ford. - Corb Lund

That would be why I completely skipped installing a LS in my 02 and went right on to a Lock Right automatic locker. I drop the clutch, both tires spin at the same rate, no matter what.

interesting. Are you sure you have a LS? mine have always spun both, however I know damn well in the older ones the clutches were never replaced so perhaps they just wore out and fused together and acted like a locker, haha! My 2010 spins them both every time though, not sure what to tell ya, other than it sounds to me like you dont have LS.

I have to ask however, why did you **** around for 2 days, why didnt you get a rope and another truck and pull it out in 10 minutes?

Pull out that truck ? LOL. Actually I had AAA at the time and called them, but they would not come in my backyard and pull me out. They have since been dropped. It was spring time and it was a little soft in the backyard. I also had a 4WD ranger at the time and did attempt to pull it out but stopped when it started getting stuck too.

Actually every LS truck I've had did the same thing. If one wheel doesn't spin, the other one does. That's the reason why I now have a locker.
