Dumbest thing someone has said about your truck

I'm not 100% sure, but the word I heard is that Ford did take a loan, but they paid it back outright, whereas GM took out a loan and then paid it back by taking out another loan. But I can't cite anything.

So from what I just read, Ford took a loan to revamp factories and bring in more fuel-efficient equipment, but Ford didn't take bail money. The Balance reporting in 2016 states:

In June 2009, GM and Chrysler emerged from bankruptcy. The bailout helped them create 340,000 additional jobs. Even Ford, which did not take a bailout, said it benefited. Without the bailout, the entire industry would have been severely disrupted. (Source: "Financial Stability in the Auto Industry, Department of the U.S. Treasury.)

Ford did borrow money but they did not take any of the TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) money, which is technically the "bailout" that is often referenced. Ford also didn't file for bankruptcy which both GM and Chrysler did.

not sure if this constitutes, but a younger female who worked at the local ford dealership selling cars asked me if I like my f250 Superduty and commented on how different it looks than the rest. I drive an 07 f150, the only thing resembling a superduty on my truck are the fender vents around the f150 emblem.

I get asked all the time, "If you were just going to lower it, why didn't you just buy a 2 wheel drive?"
I live in central BC Canada, you just don't simply get around in 2WD in the winter, I need 4WD. Also, the launches.... good Lord.

I get comments all the time about why would you buy a 2WD truck. Little annoying. I have never been stuck, live in STL we probably have had 6" of snow total since I've owned the truck. "It's not a truck if it's 2WD" type of comments.

The auto start/stop they likely just didn't know about that feature. Which I hate so much on the work trucks I've driven with it.
