Im with them man, dont be posting "Emergency" on crap unless it really is. Its like crying wolf. We've had a couple of real emergency's and if people start readin emergency threads to help someone take glue off, its gonna ruin it for people that really do need help ASAP. Just post, "Help needed" or something along that line man. Lots of knowledge around here, someone will read your post either way man.

But I would let it sit in the sun and use fishing line like suggested above and then some goo gone. Maybe a blow dryer depending on your weather there.

come on man, If you dont like the thread ignore it. dont junk it up with useless negativity.

I do agree though, those stick on things are AWFUL! I found the fishing line doesnt work well at all. Stick with the heat and slowly peel it off, then use goo gone or some other kind of solvent to remove the adhesive.

^^^ good example of constructive criticism. No insults, just simply stating the flaw in the situation and correcting it for the future.

^^^ BAD example of constructive criticism. Multiple insults. "a drama queen is toolish behavior" "So we promote being drama queens". plus the previous post of him calling him a tool.

I wish people would quite crappin' up the threads with name calling and useless finger pointing.

Fishing line- use a HEAVY gauge- 20-30 lb test line. This will not scratch the clear coat. You can try a waxed string too. I used 20 lb line to remove the door spears off the PT, then some old gasoline to remove the residue.

Wear gloves! That line will rip your skin big time.

I would not want to put gasoline on my paint... I would try goo gone first

It will never touch the paint. Only the clearcoat which it will not harm. Does it harm the clearcoat under the gas filler area?? Surely someone has dripped gasoline there when filling it up.

Gas, varsol, acrysol, paint thinner, ... all safe for clear coated vehicles, like the F150.

Ok, nope you're right. The gasoline will etch into the clearcoat before it gets to the paint.
