draging front tire
I have 05 4 wheel drive 5.4 eng. 32000 mi ,when I first put in 4 WD in high one if not both of the front tire drag at a slow speed, goes away after its been warmed up . not sure if it dose it in low I never used it. thanks

Welcome to the board.
I am not sure, but it sounds like the hubs are not engaging immediately. Don't know what would cause that problem,but we have some great mechanics here, one of them should be able to help you.

well to check the auto locking hubs dont you have to turn the fan speed onto high and turn the switch to blow out the vents on the dash and when you engage the 4x4 if you feel a change i think you might have a vaccum leak and or one of the hubs might be bad. i think that is the way it has to be tested cause my friend had the same problem.
