Not correct, lift kits keep angles close to stock whereas level takes angles out.

I agree with bigger tires adding stress and wear but if you regear and use a good lift the truck will ride good and last.

Does your drive shaft stay at the same angle with a lift? I know you can shim the axle end, but doesn't the transfer case end still run at athe new steeper angle?

Some kits have shims and some have drop brackets for transfer case. Although with the long wheel base there is enough play in the yokes that they will be fine.
