As stated, no one really knows. I suspect at least one year from now. But things are so chaotic now with this wack job admin, who knows what the future brings.

This whole thing has been the result of cause and effect. As a society we need to get everyone back to work and until that happens, there will continue to be a shortage of vehicles which means that a regular cab 2wd will continue to cost $32k.

The chip shortage will continue indefinately unless 1 or 2 things take place.

1. If we get out of being dependent on China for our resources, and the way our current administration is conducting foreign business (especially with China and Russia), that will never happen. We have to start voting these imbeciles out of office.

OR 2. If we become self dependent on the resources to make the chips or invent new technologies to make us non-dependent on the chips. If you haven't noticed, there are no lithium deposits here in the US, so we will have to make contracts with counties that do...and that goes back to our current administration. We need new inventions to help propel us into the future and protect our inventions from being stolen.

We (as a country) have a long way to go to rebuild from the damages caused from so many years of bad/inept administrations.

Are we sure there’s a chip shortage? Or did the car companies create it to get prices up and end all this discounting and rebates?

Oh this has nothing to do with car companies, they're just one of the group's suffering from a global chip shortage, it's pretty bad.
