No man, you really make us laugh! Why do you even come on here if you don't own an F-150. Getting one for thousands under invoice is impossible. You want to settle the score, prove that you even own one rather than spew random bull****. People are calling your bluffs, so get off your *** and do something about it!

'Holdback' or 'Reserve' is simply the dealer's OWN money coming back to them.
There's two terms dealers use in reference to 'invoice'.
'Net' and 'Net Net'. 'Net' is invoice. 'Net Net' is invoice MINUS the reserve(rebates, and any other incentives), or what the vehicle's 'true' cost is.
When a dealer pays off a vehicle-either after its sold, or for other reasons, such as the flooring charges piling up on it, they pay 'Invoice'.
When a vehicle is sold, the reserve is given BACK to the dealer. This usually comes twice a year in the form of a 'Holdback Check'
They DO NOT get any reserve simply by paying the vehicle off. They MUST sell AND 'warranty register'(basically filling out a form that tells the manufacturer the date it sold and who bought it, for among other reasons, so the warranty starts) it.
'Holdback' is 'what keeps the lights on', and a dealer that will dip into it WON'T be in business very long.
Do NOT expect to pay 'Net Net' for a vehicle.

IMO, this is an excellent explanation of " dealer holdback " and what dealers ultimately pay the manufacturer for vehicles.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the grave but it was a interesting read, and I do agree with Jim, dont nickel and dime the dealer till they cant turn a profit. I have a couple questions for you though, I had bought my subaru through a local forum sponsor in my state, and they ordered it for me new for $1000 under invoice and no destination charge.
If i were to purchase a new f150 via the costco program, is it unreasonable to ask them to take off the destination charge? I believe its like $1200 for the destination charge which seems a bit ridiculous. Also if i purchase a car via costco program, do I get the $1000 costco rebate on top of the price? Or is the rebate reflected in the final price costco gives?
Thanks
