Default Cylinder temp sensor

I have a 03 F150 Supercrew. How difficult will it be to replace the cylinder temp sensor. I am not an experienced mechanic

I'm not sure if it is accessible with the intake manifold in place or not.
Let's see if you can locate it.
If you are standing in front of the truck there is a small wire harness that runs over the valve cover on the right (#5cylinder) and disappears under the intake manifold just behind the right side of the alternator. That harness feeds the CHT and the knock sensor. The first thing the wire hits will be the CHT. Have a look.
There is a connector/plug that has to come off to remove the sensor. If you can remove the plug, you may be able to remove the sensor with a short wrench.
You have diagnosed this and are having trouble with your engine coolant temp gauge? Correct?
