Default Curious?!?

My Ruby Red 2014 console shift FX4, 4 door 6.5’ box had a random no start issue, fuse 27 has been relocated and I just removed and had the started load tested at a reputable shop. The truck has 205,000 on the 5.0, any ideas what could be going on?

When you say no start.. you turn the key and what happens? Nothing at all or any sounds?
Has the battery been tested?

Battery was at 12.66, load tested good, it would just make a click like a relay was doing its thing under the hood and then nothing and on the 7th turn with the key she flashed up.

Loose or corroded connection is likely cause. Probably corrosion. Check and clean all connections in the circuit path. Start relay could also be an issue.

If it was my relay wouldn’t it be all the time instead of intermittent? I pulled the pcm relay and the starter relay reinstalled and after 7th click of the key she ran strong. Didn’t see much or any corrosion on starter or connections below and never had any up top. I do have a Bullydog Tuner installed and one of the wires from fuse 32 in cab kick panel was disconnected at the tuner end that I didn’t realize as it’s under my steering column, could that be giving me issues, when I flashed the truck up I had disconnected my tuner from all power.

Sounds like the solenoid on the starter is going bad.

When it happens it doesn’t even crank is the strange part though? Today the guys in the undercoating shop couldn’t get it started to pull it out of the shop so they had to push it, I showed up and used my fob and it started no trouble.

When the starter solenoid goes out they won't crank but I'm not sure that's your issue since it started with the fob.

It spent all night inside at the shop it’s at to be diagnosed, they fired it up to move it outside no problem in the am and then went to move it later to unload another no start vehicle and it wouldn’t fire then… whatever it is is intermittent with the remote I lock once and hit key button twice and it takes a second and just beeps? Might need a Ford Scan tool there snap on one showed no codes
