what about sticking some sheet metal plates on the inside of the door skin? then you could use the magnetic covers again. taking off the door panels may be a PITA, but you'd only have to do it once.

I'm no help. Just wanted to say another reason we'll never live anywhere with an HOA. Living next to a lazy Chrsyler mechanic with 4 ****ty minivans in his driveway beats the hell out of any HOA neighborhood being in my business.

Not an HOA fan, live in one now. Your solution wouldn't fly in our development, we prohibit commercial vehicles period.

I can understand certain rules even no commercial vehicles. But there should be an exception if that commercial vehicle fits in the driveway and is what pays the mortgage and the HOA fines.

the sad part about most of these hoa rules is, you can park the biggest piece of crap rusted out car in your driveway, but a brand new pickup is banned because it has some company graphics on the side?

That is supposedly the rule in my HOA...however...when you have a state trooper who brings his vehicle home living here, as well as a fire department chief...they tend to look the other way...so long as it's not an eye sore. My work van is an all white E150 with minimal graphics, so it's not like I am driving a billboard, but even without graphics everyone knows its a commercial vehicle.

So what happens when say a plumber shows up at your house to fix a faucet and has a van full of images, brand names and company names?
