Default come along

My 2013 V6 F150 is a bit stuck in mud in a back yard. Where do I hook a come-along to pull it forward?

You really need to attach a tow strap to some part of the frame. Then a 2nd tow strap to something to anchor to with the come-along in between.

Is there a particular part of the frame at the front to be preferred, or just anywhere on the frame?

Did you remove the tow loops? Should be two loops under the plastic part of the bumper. They are attached to the frame and are good for... a hell of a lot of force.

This quite amusing superbowl ad demonstrates their strength:

being 2wd it doesn´t gave tow hooks. i would wrap the tow strap (if you have one) around the front cross member. by far the most sturdy thing you can hook too for a straight forward pull. putting a strap around one side of the frame is doable, but something has to hold the strap in place so it doesn´t slide forward and catch the bumper

I'd suggest wrapping both ends of a strap around each side of the crossmember, hooked to the frame so they don't slip to the middle where you get into the potential of bending the crossmember. Wrap the strap around the crossmember a full 360º before hooking to the frame so it can't build enough force to flare out whatever frame hole you use.

Wrapping around the frame and attaching back on itself is preferred, but I know what it's like trying to get under something that's stuck in the ground.
