Its a catch 22 with woman. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
No stranger species exists on this earth than the female human.

LOL
Don't flatter yourselves !

This reminds me of insecure "heterosexual" men always thinking every gay guy wants to get them in bed, its hilarious.
Just because a guy talks to you, looks at you, or god forbid - offers you help, does not mean he is attracted to you.

You females sure are a trip.

Probably because they grew up in a time where womans equal rights were a huge deal, and woman are constantly going crazy seeking equal treatment... right up until the opposite benefits them of course

Probably because it was written by a - *gasp*- female !

Or is part of chivalry not telling a female when shes being over-the-top ridiculous/stupid ? Im so confused with this chivalry stuff..

On one hand we're supposed to treat woman as equals, on the other hand, we are only supposed to treat them as equals when it benefits them, when being treated equally does not benefit them, we are supposed to go back to chivalry, am i getting this right so far?
Someone should really write down an instruction manual for this stuff because im lost.

Aside from the obvious contradiction at the end.. that statement is so ridiculous, offense and bizarre it's unbelievable someone was actually able to type that out, hit enter and take themselves seriously.

At this rate, I figure it's best that all men not talk to woman when woman look at them and smile, offer help, hold the door, etc.
For all we know, every woman out there is just using her smile and physical assets to get in our wallets, marry us, then take us for half our worth !
As a man you literally have to always be on the lookout for gold digging woman.
Although you cant tell which ones are which, its best and safest assume the worst from all of them!
Excuse me. Where did I say all men are bad? Where did I say that every man that talks to me (or any woman) is only trying to hit on me/her or get in my/her pants? That's right I didn't say any such thing.

I said "I will say to the men out there that are trying to genuinely help out a woman that appears to need it, don't be offended if your offer is nicely refused. As a woman you have to literally always be on guard for a man trying to take advantage of you." In other words, don't be offended if your offer to help is nicely refused in certain situations because a woman (or a man for that matter) might be wary. Alone on a dark night on a deserted road with your car broken down for example, you might not like a stranger showing up out of the blue.

In addition, NO WHERE HAVE I EVER SAID DO I EXPECT SOMEONE TO BE CHIVALROUS TO ME. Yes, I'm a woman, and *gasp* do expect to be treated like an equal human being. And no, I don't ask for special treatment from any man so get off your high horse there.

Furthermore, you do not know my life experiences or what I've been through. If you think there are not men (and women, too) out there who are out there to take advantage of someone or rape them, you are sorely misguided.

And I never stated that you said that it was. I was making a general observation.

I realized that after I read through it again. I apologize for the misunderstanding, just chose to leave it up, and apologize instead of changing it. I have no problems admitting I was wrong, gotta learn somehow.

MSTR-P, welI can't directly quote you because you put your text inside my quote. Anyway, I never said there aren't any military parents bringing their kids up right, hell, I'm a Marine and I'm bringing mine up right. But if you saw the garbage that went down in base housing you would know exactly what I meant.

Second, I have mo problem with my daughter stopping to help someone, as long as she goes about it in the right manner. Yeah, if she stopped to help someone out on the middle of no where without calling the cops first I'd thump her too. But she doesn't have to stop to help, she could at least call law enforcement and they'd go check on the person.

Trust me...I have seen my share of drama/issues in base housing. I retired after 21+ years on active duty and met my share of folks that didn't do it the right way.

I see your point in assisting with a call for help, but that would be my limit for her.

It's tempting sometimes to go sit on the front patio with some popcorn and a Coke and watch PMO run around the neighborhood on the weekends. They don't make movies this entertaining, lol.

I hear ya. The only way I'd want my daughters or son to stop is if it was in a very populated and noticeable area.

Maybe it's just the times were living in not the people themselves.

Just reading this brought back lots of good memories. He's right, seems like the world was a nicer place not too long ago. I remember standing at the end of my driveway trying to get trucks that drove by to honk. I'm thinking try that now, and the kid might actually be reported to the cops for being a traffic disturbance.

That also reminds me of that song from Red Sovine, "Teddy Bear"; that probably, musically, defines those good 'ole days.

Also I think the economy the past decade, in particular the last few years, has, overall depressed everyone. I don't think there's a person I know that somehow hasn't lost something big in the last few years.
