Default Maybe, but Why?

Removal of the converters will make for trouble with the emission certifiers....assuming your state has that stupid inspection racket going.

Other than that, if the system doesn't have four EGO sensors, then removing the converters should have no adverse effect on performance.

But, why remove them at all? Modern converters are high-flow devices that don't really restrict exhaust gas flow, so getting rid of them won't get you much, if any, more power.

People who want to remove the cats should educate themselves on the difference between carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
Hint: One is poisonous and really bad for the environment that you enjoy so much.
