Default Canadians: Why are your trucks cheaper? (Edit: They're not)

Ford.ca shows the FX4 starting at $33,202. That's $32,266 USD. The US FX4 starts at $39,610. They appear to be the same truck. What gives?

Ford.ca has built employee pricing discounts into the MSRP on the display. I can GUARANTEE that our trucks are not cheaper than yours!!

OK, that makes sense. Thanks.

I mean, I knew there weren't as many people in Canada. But I wasn't aware you all worked at Ford!

On a related note, are there any differences between US and CA trucks? I heard there's an XTR package for the XLT. Anything else?

There's slightly different options in some trims. Nothing really worth anything. But our trucks are definitely more expensive then the US.

A few worth noting.

-XTR Package includes XLT Chrome and convenience packages. With the new packaging in 2013, You can no longer get a basic XLT with XTR package a la carte, you must load up an XLT to the 302a build spec which builds in the convenience and tow packages. 80% of Canadian XLT's are built this way.
-Limiteds come in a 6.2 option.
-Platinum is available in Blue Jeans Metallic
-502a package Lariat is available with a 40/20/40 bench seat. In the US, only 500a and 501a packages are available with the bench seat. So, basically, in Canada, you can get a fully loaded Lariat with a bench seat.
-Platinum is only available with 4WD in Canada

There are other small differences, but these are the most notable ones.

Is there anything F-150 related that you don't know, young grasshopper?

Well the only other things I can think of since I had no idea about what HardcoreFXFour said is the DRLs and maybe the speedo is in MPH lol.

That's a big one imo. That would've swayed me from FX4 into a Lariat. I really miss a bench seat, but the fully loaded features were too hard to pass up. I'd like to know how that decision was made. I don't know much about Canadian preferences, but I feel like all truck owners like bench seats. Maybe I'm in the minority..
