Default Cam Phasers, help needed.

I am new to the board and have read much about the dreaded cam phaser issues. My problem is, I am not sure if the noise I am hearing is the cam phasers or if I need new Timing chains, guides and tensioners. I have had two ford techs tell me it is the phasers and I have had two techs tell me it is the hydraulic tensioners, guides and chains. So here is the problem > The truck starts and runs fine until I put it under any kind of load. Then, when the motor rpms start to fall after coming to a stop, I hear a loud slapping/rattle noise like the chains are flapping against the front of the timing cover. I can also do a basic brake stand and then let off the gas and as the motor winds down it makes the noise again. The noise is only there for a few seconds and then it is gone. I give it gas and start going again with no problems until I slow down at the next stop and as the motor winds down it slaps/rattles for a few seconds and is gone again. Sometimes it does not even make the noise and I will drive for days without hearing it and then all of a sudden it comes back. ANY THOUGHTS AS TO WHAT THIS PROBLEM COULD BE??

Can someone tell me where I can buy Cam phasers, besides at overpriced Ford?

Just buy them from ford. They are not too difficult to install.
I am currently having a similar noise. Ford doesn't know what's wrong with it. I think I took it to the wrong dealer... They have had it nearly 2 weeks....

Thanks for the reply. I would certainly be interested to hear what Ford says is wrong with yours, if you would not mind posting it.
Have you heard about these Comp Cam Limiter kits? I am wondering if they would not illiminate the problem without replacing the phasers?

2007 King Ranch F150.

I had heard about the problems with these trucks, but thought it was an 04, 05, 06 problem and I thought that I could avoid the problem with the 07. Wishing I had not bought this truck now. I have already purchased new tensioners, guides, and chains and have yet to install them, but not sure if that is the problem; I have also been told that it could also be the phasers. I am thinking replacing all of it and installing the Comp Cam Limiters as well.
How about this, Ford dealer the other day told me they want to check the oil pressure before anything and if it is low then I will need an entire new motor! $8000! The truck starts, runs and drives fine other than the noise after the rpms come down at a red light/stop sign. New motor? i don't think so! I just don't know if even Ford has a clue about the problems in thier trucks.
