What kind MPG's can I expect with my EFI 302 V8 in a 4X2 F150 lariat flareside extended cab short wheel base, C6 with overdrive a hard cover on the box. and a straight through exhaust running a single bullet type glass pack.
It is interesting this truck is factory equipped with a pair of 20 gallon gas tanks. I wonder why Ford did it this way, two sending units, two fuel pumps etc. I suppose it is the configuration of the flareside box there is not enough room for a single big tank, and with the gas mileage the truck gets a single 20 gallon was not going to work.

Results are in, drove my truck without any thought of conserving fuel and got 13.6 mpg. The tank before, trying to conserve fuel got 14.3. I dont think .7 mpg is really worth it. Oh well if I wanted fuel milage would of bought a focus.

Inaugural TOTM
The good news is (yes there is a silver lining) is I'm actually saving a lot of money on gas since moving to Hawaii. Despite the fact I'm losing 3-4 mpg and the gas is more expensive out here and I've actually filled up with 92 octane the last 3 times, I'm driving way less out here which is saving me miles on the truck as well as fuel costs. In the almost 3 months I've had the truck on the island I've driven 1645 miles and spent $488 on gas. Compare that to the last 2 months I had the truck back in Mississippi and I drove 3844 miles and spent $755 on gas.

07 lariat crew cab on 33s
bought it stock and was getting 14-16 mpg around town and 18-20 on highway
after the lift and tires I'm pullin 10-11 around town and 13-14 on the highway
I've tried drivin like a grandpa and sometimes i can add about 2mpg that way but the ford motor company was gracious enough to give me 300 hp it would be downright ungrateful of me to not use them
soon I'm looking to do a cold air intake and a programmer I'll post any improvements afterwards
