Default Build and Price question

When you go to the Ford web sight and build and price a new truck is the price they show the real price or do dealers discount off of that price?
I've never ordered a new truck before and don't know how it works.

Take your build and price sheet to several dealers and let them know you are shopping around. You can also contact out of town dealers on their web sites. Dealers often will offer a "dealer discount" price on trucks they have on the lot and they may also do something on an order truck to compete for your business.

If I recall correctly you have to enter a zip code when you build, so the build page will include your regional rebates in the pricing that is shown. Of course there is still a bunch of money left on the table with that price. There are PCO’s available sometimes and whatever you can negotiate with the dealer.

I used the build and price for my 2019. 2 dealers called within 3 minutes with an "internet price" The 3rd wouldn't quote a price even though Ford built the website and said "get an internet price" I ended buying from the 1st dealer that called paid $100 over "invoice" before deducting the $3000 offer Ford had sent me.

Don't forget he gets 3% from Ford calculated from the MSRP, it's $1500 on a 50,000 truck.

Just my $.02

Build it the way you want than search the dealerships on hand inventory. There will most definitely be negotiations available.
