Question Bed Mat

I recently bought a 2017 Ford F-150 Lariat with a 5.5" bed and the dealership put in a drop-in bed liner. I like the bed liner, however, items slide around a lot when driving. I see that Ford makes a F-150 bed mat. Can this bed mat sit on top of the bed liner and work or would it need to be cut? Just wondering if anyone has done this. Thanks everyone.

You can likely get a cheaper option than a Ford mat. I paid $50 for my mat from Rural King (midwest farm type supply store).

I just bought a mat to go over my spray in bed liner from bed rug. Fits great and even better on the knees. No cutting needed and is velcro attached so there is no sliding.

Yup, completely true.

But it won't look like this. About $130 at Silver State Ford Parts.

I could have bought 3 and had $10 left over for that price that functions the same

"There is hardly anything in the world that someone cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price alone are that person's lawful prey. It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money -- that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot -- it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better."
"In this world, you get what you pay for." - Kurt Vonnegut
"I've never regretted paying good money for a service or product that exceeded my expectation".
“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten” – Benjamin Franklin
Just having fun, LOL.

PS: It goes into a Platinum. Come on!

Im guessing you're not an accountant? $50 x 3 is $150, which is $20 more than the $130 for the Ford mat.

I had a Ford mat in my 2013 on top of the factory installed bed liner (plastic one). No problems and did a great job of keeping things in place.

Sorry I was thinking 40... 40x3=120 which would be $10 less than $130. So I admit I was wrong, just trying to point out there are other options but everyone is entitled to buy what they'd like.

Appreciate you looking out for me though, IDK what I'd do without it. Glad you could jump in on a discussion and correct someone for something pretty pretty.

Well, now Adam has got me wondering.

Would I have been better off buying 2 plain F-150 XLT's, instead of one really, really nice Platinum???

Naw, no way, no how, hell no!!!
