I struggled with the same decision and ended up choosing the Dual-Liner. The reasons are:
- It's a plug and play install
- I can sell it if I sell the truck
- is NOT a permanent change
- minimal impact to the bed
- non-slip floor

Best,

Matt

The previous owner of my pickup had installed a similar bedliner in my truck. I don't remember the brand name, but it was thick plastic, which would surely take a beating. I figured if it ever cracked or broke somehow that I would then look into getting a sprayin liner. One day my wife and I headed up the canyon with some dinner. We planned to eat in the back of the truck while checking out the views. I opened the tailgate and noticed a rusty nail right under the lip of the bedliner. I removed the nail and then lifted the liner up so I could take a better look. There was so much crap under there that I decided there and then that I was gonna rip it out and spray it. I'm sure all that stuff depends on where you live and what you use your truck for, so everyone probably wont see that, but water, dirt, nails, you name it has a chance to get under there and do its damage- including the potential fo rust.

I think that is the trade off. The plastic liners cause less intended 'alterations', but the sprayin liners will better prevent unintended 'alterations'.

Matt, I'm not at all saying you made a wrong decision, just sharing my experience.

Rhino or linex is way to go. Just find a good shop.

I got to a rhino place my dad has used for the last 20 years and they do a great job. Never had it peel crack or anything. And we abuse it more than we should. Like sliding 200lb sheets of raw glass in it and it still looked decent.

I have what Matt purchased and installed.

I too did quite a bit of research before purchasing a Dualliner for my new 2011 F-150 FX4. The spray in liner sounded great, though substantially more $$$ than the choice I made to go with the thick plastic w/heavy rubber mat. Though cost was a factor, it was the fact that the plastic Dualliner absorbs bangs and then dents to the shell - bed and floor, whereas the spray in... doesn't. The Dualliner (I don't work for Dualliner) has a lifetime warranty (so they say), and the 3/8" rubber mat keeps loads from sliding around. It should said that the rubber mat also keeps you from sliding your loads into the truck too.

I installed my bed liner in 20 minutes of easy work. Nice to be able to remove it too if it needs to be done...
