Default which bed length do you prefer?

hey everybody, I'm just curious, but what bed length do you all prefer on your truck? 5.5'? 6.5'? 8'? and for what reasons?

If I needed a truck for work, I'd totally go with an 8' bed for space. however, I don't need a truck for work and so would be happy with a 5.5' bed, and a 6.5' bed is okay too. I'd want a 6.5' on a regular cab or supercab, and either 5.5' or 6.5' bed on crew cab. voting once, my favorite is 6.5' bed.

which bed length do you others like and why?

I need the truck to be able to tow my cars, not carry stuff in the bed. I like the shorter WB for maneuverability. So I went 5.5

For the SCAB, I love the 6.5 foot bed. It compliments the overall dimensions of the truck perfectly.....which is what I have.....although if I WAS going to have the 5.5 bed, it would have to be on a SCAB, as that combination looks just "OK".
For the SCREW, the 5.5 foot bed just looks goofy because the cab is so long, so you really need the longer 6.5 bed to balance things out visually.
Our last truck was a SCREW with the 6.5 bed, and the turning radius on the SCAB just seems to be so much shorter....even with the 6.5 bed....

went with 6.5' because chevy didn't offer it when i bought my chevy and i realized how useless it is. Chevy is going to make one in the 2014, but it's too late for me.

Gotta have the 6.5 on my SCREW. Looks good and I can haul bicycles without taking the front wheels off. Doesn't fit in the garage, but only beacuse the stupid water heater pipes are in the way.

for me, screw with a 6.5 bed and it fits in the garage with a little room to walk around.
