Using FORscan I disabled the auto start stop on my 2026 F150 XLT. It turns my battery light on and from what I have found when you do this it disables Battery Maintenance System. That may be wrong. Has anyone else run into this and how did you fix it or do i need to buy the 4D adapter to disable start stop and not have the battery light problem?

 

Yes this does turn off your BMS and isn’t the proper way to do it. You want an auto SS eliminator.

 

Ya ran into the same thing.. you have to purchase the auto start stop eliminator..
