auto engine shut off

does anyone know if the auto shut off for the engine wears out the starter with all the restarts on the 2.7 eco boost? How long will the engine last?

I'm curious about this as well. My wife asked me the same question. I told her it was fine, they built it that way. I have no idea.

Kinda hard to tell since it's a new feature? Can't simulate real life no matter how hard you try during development.

My 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid shuts off the engine all the time. They design this feature to work this way.
