Yeah I was like "oh wow fog lights.... They only come on 3/4 of all fords" and the Cabela's SuperDuty had a locking gun case under the back seat. If anybody has looked in the bed on these with the bed boxes they consume a lot of space

I think only XLs don't come with them and it's an option on STX. I think I'd rather have my guns inside completely out of the weather and presumably less vibration compared to the bed. I've never had a chance to really look at one closely though.

Plus what happens when your $1500+ rifle is in your bed box and you get T-boned in the bedside.

I was thinking the same but left it out cause well, mine isn't that expensive

Mine isn't either but my shotgun was pretty close at $1250

The only time my rifles are in my truck is the drive to and from the land. Then they get cleaned and go right in to the gun case. It would seem like a hassle to lose bed space just for a 30 minute drive every so often.

Actually it's not even a Scab, its a regular cab with the small suicide door to get to the storage behind the seat. I think they were only an option in 2004 though.
