Any way to lower/raise the manual seat in the 2018 f150 STX
Just bought the truck and didn’t realize there wasn’t a way to raise or lower the seat. Can you send the truck back to the dealer and pay for the upgrade that comes with the power adjusting seat? Hell I’d settle for taking the seat completely off and lowering it somehow permanently, I’m 6’6 and the seat is just way too high!

No, the dealer wont do it. Here is a write up that I followed to upgrade mine. I installed a 10 way adjust seat into my 2017, not sure if 2018 is the same or not. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/addin...386644/index2/

Talk to the service department to find out if they'll do it, and for how much. I would have, when I was working at a dealership. But the parts will be crazy-expensive compared to salvage seats & wiring. If you pull them yourself at the JY, you'll know how to DIY putting them into your own truck.

I agree, they would have to piece together a seat. I am guessing that will be close to $800. I got mine for $180, swapped all my fabric and foam over and sold the intact airbag for $150. Total cost to me was $40 due to buying some wire. I reused the OEM pins from the harness that came with the salvage seat.
