Advice Needed......
I have an '06 F150 extended cab xlt. Its a 2wd. Stock suspension etc. I am looking to get a lift of some kind on it and some tires. Not looking to spend much money. I was told that a cheap way that works that i could do this is to put 3" rubber block spacers between my leaf springs in the back. then have 3" strut extension blocks in the front. would this be safe and look evenly lifted? after that, i was going to put some 36" buckshots or boggers-they are cheaper than buying bfg's mud terrain. is this a good idea to do to my truck? is it safe and will it look good?
I've got 236,110miles on my 97 F-150 supercab 2wd and my wife and I are headed to New Oreleans next Mon. It's gonna be about 800 miles or so round trip and I have no doubt that my truck can and will make it. But as stated trust your instincts. My truck uses less than a quart of oil per oil change which I do about every 4000 miles or so. We also make 3-4 trips home a year to Northwest Al which is about 500 miles round trip and she hasn't let me down yet. I'll be driving it till I absolutley have to put another moter in it, which I'm hoping is around 400,000k. Hmmmmmm is that wishful thinking on my part?? Naw, it's a Ford.
I just recently posted to the intro section inquiring if Ford truck was a good idea. My gut tells me yes, just wanted to make sure. After reading this post, I'm sure I'm making a good decision getting a Ford
