Recently joined forum due to buying a 2003 F150 regular cab. With limited space behind seat I wanted more storage options. When I looked online I was surprised at the limited options, and the only thing I saw on internet was plastic storage containers that go on the floor behind the seats. That is not a good solution because you couldn't put anything on the floor if you wanted to (like tool box, packages, rifles, etc) and all the space below the window and behind seats is wasted. Below is step-by-step on what I came up with and I will post them separately because I'm not familiar with image limits...
My original idea was plastic shelves or storage containers hanging on back wall, but I didn't want to drill holes required to carry the weight of such containers. So the only idea that manifested was a light-weight storage system that utilized the 3 trim holes already in place from factory on the cab wall.
The only one I could find that fit that description and had the proper measurements was a soccer-mom vehicle organizer that you hang from the back seats of minivans by the handles/straps, and coincidentally it was 50% off for only $12. (Disclaimer, I don't work for the company and not sure if I'm allowed to post screenshot or link to Amazon of the product, so let me know if its ok to post product in-case others want to do the same)
I removed the 3 plastic plugs on the cab wall to revel the studs, which are M4 thread with .7 pitch. So I needed to buy 3 coupler nuts to screw onto the stud and 3 bolts to secure the organizer to the couplers.

While I was waiting for the couplers to arrive I cut the straps off and held the organizer in position and marked where the 3 holes would go and cut a small hole into the fabric at those 3 locations. Went to Hobby Lobby and bought a grommet kit that had a slightly larger hole than the coupler.
Ultimately, this maximizes ALL the space behind the seats, with 4 large upper pouches (2 open & 2 enclosed) and 4 lower mesh pouches that are flush, and the Velcro backing on storage unit sticks to the truck cab interior lining so it stays flush against the truck cab wall and doesn't move around or interfere with anything you you want to put on the floor. This storage system obviously can't handle a ton of weight, but it seems very secure and strong enough to handle all the normal items you would put in the pockets.
