Coming out of a lariat and going with new XLT sport--I miss the leather interior. I believe it holds up well against stains and doesn't absorb odors- just like my 12 year old Italian leather sofa and love seat. Yes, its cold in winter(heated seats) and hot at first in summer(crank ac)- but I prefer it. The look and the smell-- nice. I been talking to Katzkin about adding it and about ready to pull trigger. Its not about resale value for me, its about getting what you like and enjoying it- before you die-

the average person isn’t going to know that the leather isn’t stock either.

Wouldn't buy a vehicle without leather. That's just my choice. I use the same argument as someone else said about leather. I prefer leather over cloth to knock the price down. I have tinted windows so while the truck may get warm sitting in the sun is not terrible. My truck lives in my garage until I have to go somewhere. So it's leather for me always...

That’s the absolute truth. Don’t worry about what a future owner may desire. It’s YOUR truck NOW, enjoy it!

If you want leather, do it. I agree with most of the other comments but Leather really is great if you take care of it. Your truck would be special.

My Lariat is the first truck (7) that has had leather. I didn't seek it out, but it was too good a deal to pass up. I have grown to like the heating/cooling and the ease of cleaning. On the down side, my Wife about jumped through the windshield when she got in it with shorts on a 95 degree day after it sat in the sun. I told her that Daisy Dukes got ya.
