!997 f150 4x4 O/D light blinking
hello iv read a few posts here talking about this issue but have not seen a real answer to the question. Sorry if there is one out there with the answer and this ends up being a repost but im racking my brain on this one. so here is whats happening
when i drive the truck even slightly hard the O/D light starts blinking and the trans feels like its shifting hard
if i hit highway speed (55mph+) the O/D light starts blinking and shifts hard (not super hard but noticeable)
i have replaced the VSS in the trans but i have had to replace the drive gear on the VSS 5 times in 5 months seems to eat a very small grove in the center of the gear that makes my spedo act erratic
i have just bought a new abs sensor because i read that part may be a possibility but im waiting on a new drive gear from ford to come in so i can swap both at the same time
but if that is not the case then im lost my CEL is on with the VSS code but that will go off after i get the new gear in
any help would be greatly appreciated
