Default 87 RON or MON ?

is the recommended Fuel (F150 Manual) 87 Octane
is this the RON or the MON?

Because when the MON is meant i have to fill with 95 RON (in German 95 ROZ)

i have already found it.

in Europe at the Fuel Stations stands ROZ (RON) ((researched Octane number)

in the USA
is it (RON+MON)/2

and with this table, it is possible to calculate the recommended RON (ROZ)

for my F150 is recommended 87 Octane. (USA)
that means Normal (91 RON + 82,5 MOZ)/2 = 86,75 (USA)
so it is a little less Octane as recommended

SO IN EUROPE I HAVE TO FILL UP WITH 95 ROZ (RON)
this is equal to 90 Octane in USA (RON+MON)/2

Oktanzahlen von Ottokraftstoffen

Normal/Benzin 91 ###### 91 ROZ 82,5 MOZ
Super/Bleifrei 95 ###### 95 ROZ 85 MOZ
SuperPlus/Bleifrei 98 #### 98 ROZ 88 MOZ
Shell V-Power 100+ #### 100 ROZ 88 MOZ
Aral/BP ultimate102 #### 102 ROZ 88 MOZ
MoGas #############98 ROZ 88 MOZ
100LL AvGas #########-------100 MOZ
LPG ###############103 -111 ROZ
CNG ###############120 - 130 ROZ
E85 85 % Ethanol ######104 ROZ
E10 10 % Ethanol ##### 95 ROZ 85 MOZ (meistens aber schon 97 ROZ)

That 1/4 isn't going to affect much of anything, if you're really concerned about it add some octane boost every once in a while.

i will fill up RON 95
because my truck, needs about 4Gal at 350 miles... ;-)
but it swallows a lot of LPG
the gasoline is just for starting and 2warm up to 45°C
then it switches to LPG

but i keep the fueltank full, to held it cleen of dust and rust.

Are there many F150 or even full size pickups over there in Austria? I always pictured all you guys driving around Smart Cars or those little three wheel'd BMW's that Urkel had.

I dont know why, standard cars here are as big as Audi A4 or BMW 325-525
And our Trucks are only for transportation, so the look ugly and noone gets the idea to rive such a "truck" for private.

I think the Gasolineprices are the Reason.

In the usa, there was never a Problem to get cheap fuel, so the Engines are big and the Cars also.

and this is habit.

In europe, there ar several classes of driver licences.
A Motorcicle
B Car below 3,5 ton
C Truck above 3,5 ton
and some other Codes for Trailer

if i want to drive my f150 with much Cargo, i would need a C Class Licence.

and this is not cheap, the normal B (CAR) licence cots about 1400€
and the Course is about 2-4Weeks
and the C Course adds 1100€

The sound of the 5,4l engine is awesome, but it would be much better when it where a diesel Engine form Audi or Mercedes.

Beaus the reliability and the Part-availability

Curious is, the USA has no recources anymore and gasoline is half expensive as here in Europe, and we are near to Russian an Middle East, which have enough Oil, and Gas.

This is also probably the Reason, why ur GI's always in War.

like this Hollywood job in Libyen, Iraque and so on.
and now Syria, and Iran.
under the pretext "Human rights" and in Reality the Recources, and Control.
and the Medias lying like pinocchio. (CNN and so on)
They are MAKING news.
This is Manipulation.
but its the same in Europe,

But this is not the topic.
Your Cars are Big, strong and robust.
But not for driving fast.
German Cars smaller , some strong some not, but better processed.
(i mean AUDI, VW, BMW, Mercedes)
I Like US-Cars. but its really hard to get parts for cheap.

Some russian Cars are also nice (Patriot)

Pls don't punch me, beause my political mind.
But the media want to keep us stupid.
