He may be confusing the 2.7 for the 3.5 lol. But yes, you don't have to look far. At Tyco, they 3.5EB's were a pain. I recently became a part owner at a new company, and guess what, the owner had a 3.5EB that blew up. So I am being strongly discouraged, possibly not permitted, by the principal owner to order any ecoboost. Not a coincidence I'm sure.

I do know for SURE when my friend let me drive his 2018 2.7 eb SCREW, it made me smile. I KNEW for a fact it was not as fast as my 5.0. Not even close. Thats a fact. I have NO concern beating a 2.7 as long as its stock now.

Is your truck stock the way it came from the factory?Is your friends truck a 4X4 if so the other guy had a Super Cab 2wd IIRC?Also the friends truck was probably skipping gears if not under WOT with the 10 speed in it!!!
