Default 4 wheel drive switch

When I turn the 4 wheel drive button to 4 wheel high, nothing happens. It won't engage in 4 wheel high or low. I put the truck in netural for low 4 wheel drive, but nothing happens.

The truck is a 2007 and I noticed once before that it didn't want to engage in 4 wheel drive, but after a while it started working. Now I can't get it in at all. Is there a fuse that could be out.

I have been having the same problem, looked for broken vacuum lines, checked fuses etc. Found a tap with a rubber mallet on the actuator motor got things working again.

isn't the 4x4 light supposed to blink on the dash when this system is malfunctioning? Is that happening right now?

I am having the same isue with my 1997 f150. I went out to use 4x4 and it wouldnt go into any 4H or 4L. Then I have a light on my dash that is orange with a guy in a seatbelt with airbag in front of him. flashes on and off. Then I also can not turn off my tail light. I am stumped at what is going on here. any info would be great.

Fuse! Probably a fuse! My 03 did that. I'd have to switch it into 4H turn the truck off, and then turn it back on. Then it seemed to work. Then i realized it was a square fuse.

Mine ended up being something in the computer. I took it to a shop and they cleared codes and now the 4wd works.

Too bad the rear end is shot and the spark plugs needed replacing or it wouldve been a cheap and easy fix.
