i got a 93 f150 4.9l 4x4 5spd and i have 3.08 gears and was wondering if it is hard to take a open differential and convert it to a limited slip? if any1 can can you give me links to get new parts for the conversion. if i cant find any i might just go to junk yard and get the differental assembly and take parts off of their if it would work.

 

Changing out the differential gear set can be a daunting task unless one has the experience and all the special tools required for the job.

I think your best bet would be to find a posi in a salvage yard and change out the whole axle assembly.

 

i was at a pick and pull junk yard and they had a f250 in my body style that had a h_ gear ratio. i cant remember the number after the h but i know it was a lsd. would a f250 one fit in my truck or no?
