2019 release/how much will earlier model used prices drop?
Looking at a 2014 Eco, Screw. Found one with 92k miles, price is reasonable. Was almost going to pull the trigger when it occurred to me the 2019 models should be released in the next 1-2 months.
First time truck buyer and will be towing a travel trailer. I'd love to purchase this fall, but if the new model year will translate to material price drop on previous years maybe it is worth the wait and can even go for a lower mileage 2014 because buying a used eco with 90k does scare me a bit.

Not much, if any at all. Used truck prices are fairly stable, and the 14s are occasionally more expensive due to buyers still being gun shy over aluminum bodies.

I'm not real sure how much you save unless you buy a high end truck.
I paid $31,500 for a 2015 Scab XL 2.7EB Sport FX4 three years ago and just traded it for $4,000 less. Locally discounts are running around $4000-$6000 off on a $50000-52,000 MSRP (Real MSRP not before before package discount) Screw XLT 302A 4x4 + up to $5800 in rebates ($4750 + $300 2.7EB + $500 VIN Specific + $250 Dealer Cert) + $3,000 PCO (search you will find how to get one) so you can buy new for pretty low. Local Dealer offered a Screw 2.7EB XLT 302A Sport 4x4 for $34k and change and that was first offer. I wanted 3.5EB FX4 and it was fresh so that's about $800 less in rebates so I ended up about $3k more.
Friend just traded a 2016 3.5EB to a 2018 5.0 and got almost as much for his low mi trade (they had local used car dealers come in and bid for it) and got so close to what he paid for new I refuse to repeat because no one would believe me. But to give you an idea the Ford dealer offer he turned down was $34.5 and he paid $38,000 for the 18.
Dealer Incentives must be insane and I know the used market is

That's what I'm implying assuming the same rebates (vary by your zip)
To maximize it you would have to be:
2.7EB XLT 302A over 60 days on lot with a Dealer Certificate applied and you would have to take Ford standard rate financing and payoff as soon as possible either by cash or "rolling" the loan to a Credit Union. Here 0.0 cost you $2,250 in rebates.
A more realistic number is closer to $13,000 off total. $15,000 would be if you bought 2.7EB+VIN+ Dealer Cert and you got the last $1,000 in dealer discount.
PS 2WD has another $1,000 in rebates so potentially close the $16,000 in discount (not including package discounts).

We have done 3 deals on 3.5EB and 5.0 4x4 in the last 3 montlhs with rebates ranging from $4750-6750 and stickers $50,275-53,000+ and the most expensive was $38,000 + Tax + $16.50 Title (No Doc). Worst was $12,500+ Off and best was $14,500+ Off.
PS That's with very hard nosed negotiating they still tried to get $40+ on the last truck knowing how hard we worked it the first two times.

Good to know. It seems potentially worth it to go new + have a warranty than buy a 2013/2014 in the mid 20k's with 75k+ miles. I will have to take a look around my area and see what I can find.

It's hard to answer these questions because there are far too many variables. As an example, it's your money. If you think it's a great deal, get it.
Also, are there other purchases where you really keep looking to see if you got a good deal or not. It would drive me coo coo cachou if I did that. I simply go with what I think is the best deal.
Good luck.
