Default just got a stage 2 paint buff/polish

i got a bunch off pretty good tree branch scratches the other week while i was wheelin, my paint was also covered in swirl marks other black truck owners probably feel my pain. i took it to a local detail shop and had a stage 2 paint detail done. it looks amazing there is no more swirl marks and the tree branch scratches are almost invisible check it out.

Looks good, I'm going to be dropping mine off to get this done and some flares ptm. I have some really deep scratches that are going to have to be wet sanded, did they do any wet sanding to yours?

thanks, no i didn't get any wet sanding done. I didn't really have any scratches bad enough for that. he just waxed buffed and polished it, he said he went over it 3 times spent about 8hrs on it.

nice, i got a quote like 3 years ago for my f150 at like $125, but it wasn't that in depth, pretty much just a wax job...

Looks great! I don't miss having a black vehicle. White has been great to me.

Hi guys, I am glad I saw this post. I have been asking around in another post>> https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2017-...ubbles-388407/
to see if anyone has seen a problem like I have on my 2018 Ruby Red Lariat. I was talking to a friend in another dealership and they mentioned the possibility the root cause could have been rail dust or something similar. I am not sure if left on a car for a length of time would rail dust actually eat through the paint like I am seeing. Less than 4K miles and not even a year old. Warranty from Ford was denied saying I caused it but I can not believe I would not have seen the same holes on my cap that are in the truck. The painter at the dealership said the fiberglass cap has different qualities to it and reaction to contaminants would be different. I can not believe that something that would eat the paint on an aluminum truck would not eat the paint in a similar way on a fiberglass cap...but I am not a paint expert. Any experts have an idea here? My sincere gratitude...
