Heated seat option and forscan
Hey guys,
this is my first actual post so if it's in the wrong place I'm sorry!
we just bought a fairly basic XTR partially to save money, partially since we had a base model Edge before and the only thing we really felt strongly about keeping was the heated seats. Fast forward to not getting the package that has heated seats in our new truck lol
But we can add them far cheaper after the fact anyways...
Im starting to experiment with forscan and had the crazy idea that if we get after market heated seats installed could I/they bot tie into the factory harness and enable the on screen controlls?
The only issue I've seen with this is Nick the Car Guy's YouTube channel showing that the enable buttons dont actually do anything without having the module installed - but that was an older car.
I'm planning on enabling it and seeing if I can find power in the harness under the seat but dont want to waste my time.
Has anyone tried this?
