Default 2016 leftover Limited

OK so I found this 2016 leftover limited on a dealers lot today. From their website they are not even remotely trying to discount it to move it...2018's are here in a few weeks so why are they not pushing this vehicle out the door. I am very tempted to make and offer to them. It is listed MSRP at 66K....from what I can see a 20% discount is in order here to even consider it. Looking for any advice on how to get this dealer to load it....thanks!

All they can say is no. But, you will have a nice starting point to negotiate further. If you can't get together on price amicable to you both, no harm no foul. Good luck, they are beautiful trucks.

there have been a number of '16's here on dealer lots, and NO, they won't move on them (I tried)...You ironically can get a better deal on a 17.

Makes no sense.

the f150 is a seller's market i was told by a dealer, take it or leave it. i've been trying with a NJ dealer on a 2016 king ranch fully loaded and they just won't budge.

And remember...the internet! All dealers will be priced quite closely as it is so easy to check if there is a less expensive truck of the same type. My dealer (along with many others I'm quite sure) have miner (digging) programs running just to make sure they do. We couldn't get a thousand bucks off our used Lariat...with cash!!

Im not sure why everyone thinks they should get a cash discount buying from a dealer? Dealerships hate cash deals because they dont make any money on financing, and chances are they wont sell anything on the backend either if its a cash buyer.
