2013 fx4 vibration noise when I shift into park
#31
Thank you all so much for this information. My 2013 Eco XLT has been having the same problem. Can't duplicate it on demand but happens fairly often. Had it to the dealership this past week for 3 days and they couldn't duplicate the problem and didn't know where to begin diagnosing it. The noise started again last night when i pull in my driveway which has a slight incline and i popped the hood and got out looking around for any signs. When i was feeling around for vibrations i noticed the hoses connected to the trans cooler were vibrating and then quit once the noise quit. Hopefully i can take the information from this thread and the TSB to them next week and maybe they can get it fixed for me. I sure hope so cause i hate spending that much money on a vehicle and it already have problems with only 7000 miles on it.

shift noise
I just bought a new 2013 fx4 and noticed when I stopped and shifted into park I got a vibrating noise coming from the shifter area. Shifting out if park it goes away somewhat or gets less severe. It will eventually stop. This comes and goes. Last 2 days it hasnt done it. Sounds like a noisy pump motor of some sort. Anyone else experience this.

Picked my truck up from the dealer yesterday after having the valve bodies replaced...so far so good! Shifts smooth and is as quiet as can be when shifting into park and when shifting gears! Thanks again to help of members on this thread and Ford Service for getting the ball rolling to solve this issue!
Expressway Ford in Mt. Vernon, Indiana was the dealership I purchased the truck from and had the service work done. Easy to service department to work with and did more than they had to to make sure I was happy and taken care of.

Buzzing Noise during parking
So I have the same problem as the rest of you guys. I bought a 2013 F150 Xlt 4x4 3.7L scab at the end of December 2013. I have 3200 miles on it now. The sound has been happening since I got the truck new with 1 mile on it from crown Ford in Fayetteville Nc. I thought at first maybe it was normal noise since its brand new and it made the sound almost the first time it was. I was really bothered or I felt like i didn't want it to make that sound anymore, was when i was parking at local watering hole. I did the noise and long enough for folks to look at me in my new truck like i had blue light on the top pulling em over. they really did rubber neck me. Anyway here is what I'm experiencing. after driving a little ways and parking the buzzing noise start if I tap the accelerator it stops right then. If i let it make the noise without the doing anything else it usually stops in 10-15 seconds. after reading this thread and watching the video posted by a fellow f150'er I know with out a doubt I have the issue ya'll are dealing with too. Man I hope this is the last issue. im sure it wont be but who cares it just money right? that 07 xlt 5.4L 4x4 and had the cam phasor and spark plug issue plus had it leaking oil with less that 80000 on the odometer. I dont want to trade this early in for a Ram, but im prepared if i have to. any advise on whats the best way to approach a dealer service center without seeming like i know everything but getting the issue solved for good and my truck not up on a lift for a week would be good to hear from you guys that have had it fixed. thanks alot! and i do plan on being an active poster here! just hope its all about how much i love my truck.

I am having the same exact issue! I wonder just how common this really is..? I spoke with my dealer about the issue, and they act like I am the first person to have ANY problem with a 2013 F150!! Hopefully Crystal can help me get this issue resolved quickly ;-)
