Default 2013 FX2 Security Light

Hi folks!
On my previous F150 trucks, the security (anti theft) light on the dash, flashed red every couple of seconds when it was armed.
On my new 2013, it does not flash red at all. Is this the way it is supposed to be now or is something wrong?

I wondered the same but I believe it is now on the instrument cluster. You can always get a alarm dummy light real easy to install and can get it in different colors example blue.

I don't see anything on the instrument cluster either. Not concerned with adding a mock signal, but just want to make sure something isn't wrong with it.
Seems odd that the light is on the dash, but wouldn't flash red when armed.

Ok, that makes sense. Thank you.

I guess there just isnt a red flash to show that the anti theft is armed then like in previous models.

Yes and it sucks. I wonder if we can change that dome to the previous year with the anti theft light in it. I believe from 2009 to 2010 models?

My 2010 has the red flashing key symbol in the instrument cluster.

I miss that light as well, the 04 Explorer I traded in had it. Seemed like a good deterrent to a would be thief.
