Default 2013 F150 remote start

Holy Cow!

My bride purchased a factory Ford remote start with two keys for me for my birthday! Easy install! MAYBE 15 minutes! Done.
Cut two keys! 10 bucks! Done!
Program two keys to the truck! 5 minutes plus 2 to test. Done!

Stop by the dealer for the 40K oil change, checkup, and hey, can you flip this bit in the computer!

OMG! for that money they should do the install! for me! YIKES!

I understand if this was the only thing they were going to do. They do have to make money! But my god ! does it really cost 135 bucks to flip a bit in the Ford computer??

Anyone North of Seattle with the tool need some Christmas bucks?
I have instructions!

Got a laptop???
Get a obd adapter and do it yourself with FORScan... check out the sticky thread in the 09-14 section... you may just find other tweaks to make as well...

OK,
I did the whole forscan thing for factory remote start activation and was totally disappointed. Even joined Forscan forum , downloaded windows version, paid for IOS, got a free key, posted with questions, and got . . . . no where. Forscan was a lot of hoops with zero resolution to my request of activate remote start.

Simply, Forscan was a disappointment for my needs.
I rolled over, paid the dealer and now my remote start works great!
Wish I had a case of KY . Might have felt better at the dealer.

Then you did something(s) wrong. No IOS needed either.
