2012 Platinum grill
I can seem to get the grill or the tailgate panel to shine like new. I tried mothers metal polish, it hazed and I could barely remove it. Can someone give me help on what to use? Is it ok to use carnauba wax on the grill? I also keep hearing about this Collinite 845 wax, is this what I should be using on the truck, grill and everything? Is it ok to put carnauba on top of the collinite? Thanks for any input.

Slouth, aren't these suppose to be a brushed aluminum style. Buy shine I assume your talking about just a cleaning. If that's what your doing have you tries a household aluminum cleaner? Something that's not harsh, and won't scratch. The Wifey uses a product called "Bar Keepers Friend", but I would try a very small area first.
I would stay away from any type of wax as all would be very hard to remove because of the finish on these parts.

Try washing with dawn and using a cleaner wax on the grill and tailgate panel. I assume you're doing it by hand so find one without fillers/polish. You can put 845 on the grill.
You can top 845 with either a synthetic wax or pure caranuba.
