2011 Ranger?
Wow, I thought the US model was killed off in 2010. Ford is probably keeping it around another year to try to help their fleet fuel mileage. Still haven't seen any 2011 Rangers at any dealers around here.
Would be cool if they ditched the 4.0L and put the 3.7 or 3.5 EB in there. I would dump my F150 in a second if Ford made a 2011 Ranger FX4 with the 3.5 EB and an e-locker (or two)!

You would leave your fx4 for a ranger? Hmm.

Yep, I don't NEED a full sized truck. Just need to be able to tow at least 5k lbs fairly often without being scary. Plus my commute recently doubled to near 100 miles/day since my department moved to a different building last month. I'm spending almost $250/week on gas!
I was happy with my previous Rangers and Explorer 4x4s other than their lack of power before mods. They were great off road and in the snow too. They just got worn out and rusty after a few years and a lot of very hard miles. I only tow heavy stuff (7k+ lbs) a few times a year and could borrow my Dad's F350 if needed.

) And I won't need a fullsize if there is an American compact that can meet my needs (4x4, reliable, somewhat roomy and good on gas). I am still very interested as to what Ford will do in regards to the compact segment. They say "there is no market for a compact" Bullllllllllllllllllllllshhhhhhh!!!!!!!ttttttt. Sorry OP to threadjack, but i'm with ya. Gimme Ranger+ecoboost+4x4+lockers
