2011 f150 6.2 v8 limited lariat, Having a problem with fuel economy getting about 170miles for full tank am at 24 miles but at a quarter tank supposed to have atleast 130 at a quarter getting 8.2 mpg around city barley tapping on gas light on it. Did all 16 plugs and coil ignition boots, and wires oil changed,air filter cleaned throttle body air box. Fuel gauge will jump around up and down please somone help!!

Did you do any hand calculated mpg?
And if so, over how many miles and gallons did you do the calculations by hand?
No I haven’t but planning on getting a fuel clean and take it on the highway and give it some rough driving hopefully cleans through I don’t highway drive hopefully not the fuel pump.

until you do some hand calcuLtions, you really don’t know where you’re at. No idea why you mention/suspect a fuel pump issue?

Idk the shop told me I need a new idlers and serpentine belt and purge valve and clean the system and drive on the highway.
and need a fuel pump probably because like I said the fuel gauge changes sometimes goes up on gas and down and then up tank size too.
