My phone is a Nexus 6 with a pure version of lollypop (latest) installed on it. The phone is not broken and is fully stock.
Hi Tom Terleski,

Have you tried another phone?

ddderek,

You have to switch over to Bluetooth Audio. Press the VOICE button (on the steering wheel) and say BLUETOOTH AUDIO. This will stream any audio playing on your phone through SYNC.

Gene45,

What phone do you have?

I thought it tried Bluetooth audio using the dash controls but I'll give it another whirl using your method ..

Default It worked this time!

Shaay,

It worked this time! I swear I tried the same thing before? What was weird though is when I first tried it, it wasn't working and then I saw maps was on mute? I never muted maps, does the radio mute your phone automatically when it syncs? After UN muting it worked over the radio! Yeah!

I sincerley hope that whoever signed off on this Microsuck system(probably has an MBA)being installed was big time fired.
I'm thinking about getting a 2016 or 17 Mustang GT. Is it still going to be saddled with with this crap system?

ddderek,

The car cannot control the functions of your phone. Sounds like it's a coincidence. Glad everything went well!

Hi Blank102,

Have you heard the buzz about SYNC 3: https://social.ford.com/content/ford...d-escape-.html It was designed based on direct consumer feedback. It's currently available on the 2016 Fiesta and 2016 Escape and will migrate to all vehicle lines (in North America) by the end of this year.

[QUOTE=Tom Terleski;4259132]Hello

I am a new member here and thought I would give you some thoughts on issues I have with my 2010 f150 FX 4x4. I purchased the truck new in 2010 and paid $2700 for the navigation system called Sync. It started with Version 1.0 and as of today, it still is V1.0. Ford never offered an upgrade and , quite frankly, abandoned all us 2010 owners.

You can upgrade Sync, but I don't recommend it. If it's working fine, leave it be. I have upgraded twice to 3.4 and each time I lost some functionality and it got more flaky.

Don't try to fix what isn't broken.

Cheers.

Hi Steven M.,

Welcome to the forum! The navigation map version we're on is v7.0. You can obtain map updates from our software partners (HERE Maps): http://allthingsnav.navigation.com/ Choose your make, model, and year to get more info.

I hope this helps.
