Default 2006 f150 4x4 problem

hi im new to this i just got my truck a few months ago i had the truck on the hoist and when i went to spin the passnger front tire it would make a ticking sound now it seems like my 4x4 dont work the 4hi and 4 low lights come on but when im in the snow only the back tires spin. i have been looking around online and people say about vacume and stuff so i pulled the lines out from the vacume cylonoid beside the battry and when i blow in the driver side hose air goes when i blow in the passnger side line its like the line is pluged could this be why its not engadging

how do i go about fixing this
and am i dammaging anything by driving?

I am dealing with this right now. But mine was a grinding sound on cold mornings. My mechanic replaced that vacuum solenoid. ($30 from ford) This helped, but did not fix the issue. It goes back in Thursday to get looked at again. I will update then.

The NBS F-150 have IWEs ( Independent Wheel Ends) that have a spring pushing a lockup collar in the hubs. Vacuum from the engine pulls a diaphragm that pulls on the spring to disengage the hubs. When vacuum fails the spring pushes the lock up collar and 4x4 is possible. When you command 4x4 vacuum us removed at the solenoid. A fault IWE or solenoid or a plugged line will cause intermittent or no 4x4. The solenoid on the firewall was redesigned to keep water from getting inside and finding its way to the IWE. Unplug the vacuum line to the IWE at the IWE and check for engagement. Check the line for water/rust/clog and also the solenoid on the firewall.

DO NOT REPLACE ANYTHING !!!!!

I just got back from the shop. They pulled it in before lunch to let the snow melt off and everything to thaw out. They check the vac lines for leaks, checked the electrical connections and went over everything. They tried it again AND IT WORKS... They think it was just all frozen up. My point is that most people replace hubs for $80 to $120 a piece. I paid $21 and it works. My hubs are fine.. If it freezes again I will pull the vac lines and flush them out. Try this before you spend $$ for nothing!!

I took my truck to a shop they said it mite be the 4wd vacume module located beside the batter bc they tested the lines they are fine just the hub is half engaged
If they manually pump air it locks on 4wd and or 2wd so I replaced the module and nothing 4wd makes a grinding rattling noice and passenger wheal when I spin it makes a ticking noise they said I prob need a hub but I don't want to spend 500$ on parts and labour and then that's not the problem again help plz

Also there are 2
Lines on module when I blow into the line of the driver side air flows when I blow in the passenger side line it's like the hose is plugged also when turck is on air only comes out of 1 line
