it still works fine for me. I do think the time to shut off should be longer than the required time to wait at a stop sign for a legal stop to be made. my experience so far is limited but it seems a bit too close for comfort at the moment. perhaps a couple extra seconds would be better.
As you play around with it, you'll realize that you can almost control when it operates (at least, that is how mine is). Very soft pressure on the pedal or slight movement forward will keep the engine running. It takes a fairly firm push on the pedal and a complete stop before it shuts down.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this fix yet but I did it tonight and it worked great. Took about 30 min. See the link below.

Default I miss my auto turn on/off

At first I didn't like it. but when I see city mileages upwards of 22 mpg; it was comforting to feel the motor turn off when I am not moving.

But it has quit working. The LCD dash indicator says "Charging"; as if the battery needs charging.

At my 11,000 mile checkup, the dealership checked the battery and said it was fine. So why doesn't the motor turn off at stoplights any more. It worked for over a year and now has suddenly quit.

I miss it.

And mysteriously (after 2 or 3 months of it not working), the auto start/stop at traffic signals and other places where I'm stopped and pressing the brake suddenly started working again yesterday!
