Default 2.7 Cat back

My resonator finally let loose this morning, and I'm trying to figure out which direction to go, stock, or aftermarket. Factory exhaust isn't much cheaper than some of the lower priced cat-back systems, so I'm looking for pros and cons of either from those who have done them. Doesn't look terribly hard to do. Trying to avoid being the loudest 2.7 on the planet while I'm doing this. Any suggestions taken, especially if any of you have gone with the MBRP product. Thanks!

I would go stock. I think all the EcoBoosts sound sad when you amplify them.

Going with a cat-back system might be a good move, factory exhaust is quieter

Walker has a stainless muffler on Rock Auto, but not seeing a stainless resonator or tailpipe. Anyone know who might make those?

Might have been a good idea to mention that. 2017, 2.7L.

Stock unless you enjoy sounding like weed whacker.

Where do you live? I had this Cat Back on my 2019 F-150 with the 3.5 Eco Boost and i added a resonator to make it sound better IMO!!

It's a K&N Cat Back Part Number 67-2523 and i added a Vibrant Resonator i looked up the Part Number on Summit Racing and it looks like it will fit your Truck!! I have it For Sale in the 2015-2020 Section on Here I'll bump it TTT for you in that section!!

Straight pipe it........

Lol, seriously tho,... Small cube motors don't sound good. I love the 2.7 but for me I want it as quiet as possible.

Ends up being the flex pipe, not the resonator. Agree with everyone here, that stock is better. I've heard Eco's with loud exhaust, and they sound ridiculous. Got the new piece welded in, and all is well. Until Wisconsin eats the rest of it....
