Nice. Now come back when your trucks actually have mileage on them and expired warranties and report again. I guarantee if you pop your heads off and look at the valves it would make you change your mind.

Probably not seen a couple little 2.0 eb with high mileage no issues big enough to worry about. Last time I checked been about 6 months there was a guy over 350k with just quality fuel, regular oil changes and maintenance

Ecoboost, 55,000 miles. Case closed, talk is cheap, pictures are proof.

Why the hell do you think Ford added port injectors to the 2017 3.5 ecoboost ? This pic is why !

How the hell is top tier fuel going to help a direct injected engine keep the intake and intake valves clean ? Fuel doesn't flow through the intake or over the intake valves in a direct injected engine !

Some people just don't get it and never will

People will continue to argue but its all just talk... plenty of pics of ecoboost engines with severe carbon buildup ( try google ) I won't argue the topic, don't have to. I made my point, posted a pic ( proof )
Have a nice day

Cruddy valves are why some manufactures are going to a dual fuel DI / traditional fuel injection system.

Yep, just like the 2017 3.5 ecoboost. Ford finally wised up

Good for Ford. I know Honda and Toyota did the same for next model year as well.

Ok! I have nothing to loose installing a "catch can system" on my new 2.7 engine when I get it in March. (ordering next month) But what brand and where do I order this?

I have always been a big fan of catch cans. My last 5 cars have either been supercharged or turbo vehicles and they have all had catch cans. However, every single one of those cans had very, very little to no junk inside them even after 10K miles.

That sometimes makes me wonder if I wasted my money or were the minute amounts of crud really worth the expense of the cans. This is a never ending subject that will always be debated. Although I have decided not to install one on my recently purchased 2.7 Ecoboost XLT.

Did i ever say engines are at risk for failure if they dont have catch cans? No. My intake stays nearly perfectly clean which Ive pulled my TB to observe after 15k miles, and that alone is why I bought one which to this day is one of the most satisfying mods ive done. I happen to have the 5.0 which produces alot of PCV blowby and oil separators really work on that engine. Dont waste your breath on the guy who just wants to keep oil out of his intake.
If you want to lecture people about wasting tons of money on useless products for their trucks, Im at the bottom of the list of who you want to confront.
