Default First truck

Well it was a long wait but I finally got my first truck. 2005 F250 5.4 Triton with 72,000 miles. It's a plain Jane work truck with the exception of Ext cab, 4X4, AC and cruise. Nothing fancy really. But I swore last year that I put my last deer in the trunk or tied to the spoiler of my 99 Escort. Yep it was done many times. Ended up getting this one for $9,995. Had a little vibration from the front passenger tire so it's still at the dealer getting some solid black Ions and new tires. Picking it up Monday. Will definitely be a long weekend. Has a few small cosmetic issues mainly. Was sideswiped (not bad at all) and the guy that painted it did less than acceptable in my book. Blemishes show around edge of door, wheel well and around fuel door. All badges need changed. Small tear in driver seat. Rear bumper starting to rust slightly. Other than that it seems to be a great truck. Anyone else have or start out with a similar model? I plan to take care of these issues and get a tune up done soon as I have heard the 5.4 will benefit from it at around 75K. I will post up a pic or two Monday or so. Not that an old work truck is that impressive. I am anxious to see what the new wheels and tires will look like. I am hoping it is a big improvement over the steel wheels and stock tires. Plan to add some goodies here and there an hopefully in about a year have a nice looking solid running truck. At 29 years old it was a long wait. After years of busting *** for the wife and kids providing her with the nicest vehicle it sure did feel good to get the deal done. To most it will just be a plain old work truck. But it sure tasted awful sweet today! Great forum. Looking forward to getting some good advice. Please share your experiences or pics about the work truck super duties.

Congrats! I hope you got a good one. The 5.4s are great engines and I'm sure you will get many miles out of it. Good luck.
