Default F350 crash worthiness

I ran across this post on a GM truck forum. The original poster was in a horrendous wreck driving his work truck an F-350. Thought the Ford HD guys might be interested in the crash worthiness of their vehicles. Unfortunately there was a fatality in one of the vehicles involved (Jeep Cherokee is what it looks like). Sad story, but it is good to see that the Ford truck held up as well as it did.

Safety is from both sides, the aftermarket super duty rear end did not absorb any forces from the jeep.

Yeah the person in the Jeep didn't stand much of a chance. That utility body on the truck was like a steel brick, but I was more impressed with how the F-350 held up in the head-on with the Toyota Tundra.

I wouldn't wish an accident like this on anyone.

Yeah that jeep just looks nasty....and then you look at the back of the 350 and it's amazing how well that thing held up.

Here is a little safety tip I learned in a defensive driving course. When waiting to make a left hand turn, keep the front wheels pointed straight ahead. That way if you are hit from the rear(as in this accident) it will knock you straight forward, not into oncoming traffic.

Hell, I learned that from my driving instructor to get my DL.
