Did you ever find out where your block heater was at? And did you get it up and running?

Starter is located on the passenger side back of the engine but in front of the tranny bellhousing. I looked around and the 6.0 heater is in the same place as the 6.4. Right above the starter. On my 6.4 it was obvious. Guessing it is easy to find on the 6.0. Like the previous post stated, not the easiest thing to get to.

Round maybe the size of a small coffee can. Will have some wires running to it. One of the wires will be red and the same size as your battery cables. Look above that and you might see something that looks kind of like a sensor. If it looks like a cord would plug into it you will have found the block heater.

Ford dealership or ebay. Ebay may be the cheapest but you will have to wait and since you said that you didnt, either a parts store or dealership.

I just found mine on my f350. It was pretty well hidden I pulled it out of where the front toe hook is on the passenger side. Had to look for 5 or 10 minutes first

Not sure if it is universal or not. Best way to find out is call ford and ask them.
